Corridor Guidance Library for the I-70 Mountain Corridor

Corridor Guidance, while presented in many forms, helps to connect the Context Statement and Core Values to stakeholders’ comments and concerns. It also aids in incorporating responsible agencies’ regulatory requirements into a plan, a design, or an improvement that respects and addresses everyone’s needs.

The I-70 Mountain Corridor Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) Guidance is presented in many different forms -- from worksheets, templates, and score cards to maps, plans, and design strategies. The goal of all CSS Guidance materials -- no matter what the format -- is to connect the Context Statement and the Core Values to stakeholders’ comments and concerns, and to incorporate the responsible agencies’ regulatory requirements into a plan, a design, or an improvement that respects and addresses everyone’s needs.

Users of the CSS Guidance should understand the Context Statement and the Core Values. Further, users must develop plans and designs using the I-70 Mountain Corridor Decision-Making Process, and must allow the I-70 Mountain Corridor stakeholders to influence decisions and choices while creating sustainability and balance within each project.

The Corridor Guidance is presented in the following categories:
